Plant problem diagnosis

POST /v1/plant/diagnose · $0.01 a call

Send a close-up of a damaged leaf or plant. A vision model names the visible problems from a fixed list of pests, diseases and care issues, with severity and the evidence it saw. Each problem comes with the same treatment steps every time, plus when to ask a nursery for help. A genus guess, when given, is checked against a botanical name registry.

For plant care apps, garden apps, plant shops.

Request

Send the photo as image (multipart), image_base64 or image_url, as described in the overview. These fields go alongside it:

`context`	string, up to 500 characters	What the user has noticed, e.g. "watered twice a week, spots started after repotting".

Photo tips. Fill the frame with the damaged leaf, top side and underside if you can, in daylight and in focus. Include the stem or soil if the problem starts there.

Response

Field	Description
`summary`	One line, e.g. "Moderate powdery mildew, plus mild physical damage".
`is_plant`	false when there is no plant in the photo; the other fields are then empty.
`status`	healthy, minor_issues, unhealthy or severe, from the worst problem found.
`issues[]`	type, label, severity (mild, moderate, severe), evidence, and treatment steps. Worst first.
`genus_guess`	The plant's genus when it can be told from the photo, or null.
`get_help`	When to show the plant to a nursery or plant clinic.
`photo_tip`	How to take a better photo, or null.
